NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION (NGOs)

Accadian has experience of working in partnership with local, national and international NGOs to help meet a variety of critically important project objectives across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

We have worked with NGOs – both as the lead contractor and in a research and communications role – on projects dedicated to promoting universal education, strengthening participatory democracy, countering violent extremism and fostering social enterprise.

Whether a major philanthropic foundation or a small, dedicated team of local activists with key knowledge and capabilities, NGOs can often adapt and respond to changing needs more readily than government organisations.

Accadian recognises this flexibility and is always looking to build networks of alliances with in-country NGOs and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) that understand the issues on the ground and can work with us to achieve tangible results, with a full commitment to accountability, transparency and inclusivity.

We support these organisations and draw upon their expertise and capabilities when researching potential project partners in response to a funding opportunity or a Request for Proposals (RFP).

Whenever possible, we employ, train and develop in-country staff to plan and implement programmes on the ground, while ensuring the project meets the donor requirements. Our input is focused on technical direction – applying best practice in strategic research and communications: project management, quality assurance, management of risk and duties of care, and clear reporting.

In short, Accadian acknowledges the importance of local expertise in delivering effective projects with NGO donors and partners, and we welcome approaches from organisations seeking to work with us to effect positive social change within the regions where we operate.

Successful strategies are based on a sound understanding of local contexts and must engage local people in sensitive, relevant and sustainable ways.
